Delectable food photos....and recent recipes

Hi all,

Slowly but surely, I am becoming more and more hooked on cooking and baking.  Especially experimenting with desserts in the sugar-free realm.  But that aside, I just love to make food in general (as you can see from the photos below).  I dont feel this post warrents a lot of further words or explanation.  The photos can do the talking ;-)

I can tell you with lots of excitement though that a number of the photos have the link to the recipe just underneath it, for your eating pleasure.

Enjoy!!

Strawberry Shortcake, one of my very favorite desserts.  Traditional American.  I made my shortcakes with a bit of brown sugar and lavendar.

Brookies!!!  How could I not try my hand at these?  As this dessert that is my namesake ;-)
So a Brookie is a brownie and a cookie combined.  These ones in particular are sugar free.  I will try and post the recipe at some point in the near future.
In the meantime though, another one of my recipes for Honey Ginger Cookies with Matcha Cream Cheese Frosting can be found here.  Also incredibly tasty, as well as rather unique.

Blueberry Ricotta Buckwheat Pancakes, topped with sunflower butter, honey and fresh berries.  Buckwheat has been a revolutionary discovery for me.  Pancakes, one of my most beloved entree items.  I could eat pancakes every day if I could.  These babies are gluten/wheat free and sugar free.  Now I can eat them every day if I want ;-)  Oh.  Yeah.

Buckwheat Banana Bread with a few chocolate chips thrown in for good measure.  Moist, lightly sweet, delicious.

Sugar free and wheat free Chocolate Cake.  I made this with sweet potatoes, maple syrup, sunflower butter, cocoa powder and rice flour.  I was shocked by how amazing it came out.  The cake was dense, but it was moist, chocolatey, rich, so so good.  I will most certainly be making it again in the very near future.

In the meantime though, here are two other awesome, super easy, sugar-free recipes I have created as of late, both of which I am hooked on.  And both of which take less than 15 minutes to whip together.

Sugar free and gluten free Pumpkin Cheesecake.  Pumpkin is one of my favorite flavors ever.  And cheesecake, one of my top dessert weaknesses.  Just something about the texture, the creaminess, the tang of cheesecake.  I cannot get enough of it.  This version, one would never guess it being sugar free!  It tastes lightly sweet, loaded with distinct pumpkin and cinnamon flavors, rich and slightly tangy, just so good.  I believe half the cake was gone by the end of the weekend.  And I was the only one at home... ;-)  This is one of my best recipes, if I do say so myself.  But dont take my word for it.  You can try making it yourself!  Its super easy.

French toast.  My other breakfast food weakness.  I dream of French Toast when contemplating weekend breakfast.  Especially this one made with Challah bread.  Thick, lightly sweet, the tangy Greek yogurt and berries on the side are the perfect balance in flavors.  Mmmmm.

Another type of pancakes.  See, I told you pancakes are my breakfast food world ;-).  This particular recipe is called Mighty Goods.  My Mom made them for us frequently on Saturday mornings growing up.  And true to their name, they are pretty dang delicious.  These in particular are Pumpkin Cinnamon pancakes, topped with blueberries and homemade whipped cream.

A summer vegetable quiche with a sweet potato crust.  Ultra tasty and healthy.  Though the crust was a bit difficult to perfect, so I am unable to post this recipe just yet.

In the meantime, while I am working to perfect that crust, I can offer you my recipe for a Raspberry Pistachio Pastry Tart, inspired by a trip to Paris I took a couple of years ago.  Not only is it mouthwateringly delicious but its gorgeous, the pink and green shades together on the pastry cream.
