Weekly Wanderings. Awesome Eats, Harry Potter Parties and More.

Hi all!

Happy Sunday :-)

I decided on one of my "weekly wanderings" photo montage posts.  This entry offers food porn as well as a fabulous brunch recommendation, and then some ;-)

Here you go, the latest (and greatest) pictures from the top of my cell phone photo scroll.

The following photos are all from Dali, one of my close friends here in Frankfurt, his birthday party last weekend.  Harry Potter themed, as you can see, and to the max.  He is incredibly talented and creative, having done all of this himself.  How cool is that!?!?  All the little details, just fantastic.  Lots of fun :-D

(Make sure to look closely at the little label cards for each food item ;-) so great).

Dali drew all of this himself!!! How incredible is that????

A couple of photos from Dresden with Judith, last weekend...

The sweetest little cafĂ©/tea room.  We loved this spot.

These are of course, crappy cell phone photos.  For LOADS of photos in much better quality, fantastic food recommendations, all the architecture and scenery of Dresden, and fun travel stories, take a look at the blog entry from our adventure here :-D

And, wandering the Old Town of Hochst with a friend for the first time this past Friday (the part of Frankfurt in which I have lived for the past three years) .  How is it that I have lived here for almost three years and didn't explore the Old Town part yet???  Anyway, totally charming and lovely.

And, stellar brunch today with three friends at Lokalbahnhof in Frankfurt.

Those who know me personally, as well as who read this regularly know that I am the brunching queen.  Favorite meal of the day, hands down.  So I was excited to try this place out.

I had heard good things but whoa, is the buffet spread here AWESOME. They had it all.  Scrambled eggs in more than one flavor.  All manner of breads and rolls (even some gluten free bread), waffles, crepes, French toast, bacon, sausage, grilled vegetable, falafel, fruits, yogurt, granola, moist chocolate cake, the list goes on.  I will absolutely be going here again.  Highly recommend!
Important note though, it was packed.  Call ahead for reservations to their Sunday brunch.

Basically the only brunch item they didn't have was pancakes, but no worries, I've got you covered on that one ;-) see below....

And last but not least, recent delectable creations ;-) for your viewing and eating pleasure from the blog Sweet. Raw. Free.

Zucchini Lasagna.  I apologize for the crappy photos.  They were taken indoors.  However this was DELICIOUS.  Lasagna noodles were replaced with zucchini.  Otherwise, it was a lasagna in all other regards.  Used lean beef, though one can use ground turkey or even go meatless.  Added cheese, spinach, tomato sauce, onions and spices.  Mmmmm.
I will post the recipe for this one soon.

"Moody Berry" Pancakes, aka blueberries and blackberries.  Whoa.  My new favorites.  These guys are grain free, dairy free and sugar free.  SO easy to me, and absolutely delicious.  I just made some more for dinner tonight ;-)
